2020-21 VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE PIECE: ALL OUR HANDS
The virtual artwork is titled "All Our Hands" The recorded dance choreography explores connection, friendship, empathy and intimacy despite physical distance. As a group over 8 weeks with weekly sessions, we really tried to find ways that we could create a tactile presence and unique aesthetic even with ZOOM technology taking the place of a IRL performance space. Despite the music synchronicity issues across the different wifi speeds in 4 different countries, we felt like we were dancing for each other and with each other. The sessions gave us hope and comfort in an otherwise uncertain breakout time of Covid-19. The final collaborative piece of choreography is performed virtually by Kate March (US based); Ali Hollowell (US based); Subana Paramuthevar (Australia based); Bronwyn Jolley (Germany based); and Jessie Jing (England based). Across virtual space we dance together; our hands and hearts aimed at connection, embodiment, empowerment, and peace. All our hands join in solidarity. Music is from The King's Speech album and is originally by Beethoven.

FEEL HER PAIN PROJECT
Womxn’s bodies are ideological and personal battlefields particularly in the context of physical pain. Inspired by my struggle with endometriosis, I create an immersive journey inviting audiences to explore various aspects of female pain. A performance in 4 'movements' will blend to cultivate a space for empathy and inspiration. The project focus will be the physical pain of womxn, and the emotional, sociocultural aftermath of our silent suffering. From medical practices of Ancient Greece or of the Victorian ages, to the Salem Witch trials, to present-day overturn of Roe V. Wade, any discomfort related to a womxn’s sexual or reproductive health has been continuously and vehemently dismissed by society. Womxn are expected to be uncomfortable most of the time. In addition to enlisting my arduous battle with endometriosis as inspiration, this project will mobilize a range of actual womxn’s pain stories in order to cast light on and acknowledge the biological and emotional realities for female bodies. Head to www.feelherpain.com to participate in the journey.
